What is Sankashti Chaturthi?
Sankashti Chaturthi is a revered Hindu Vrat observed on every Krishna Paksha Chaturthi (the fourth day of the waning moon). The word "Sankashti" means "deliverance during troubled times," and this fast is dedicated to Lord Ganesha — the remover of obstacles and the deity of new beginnings.
Significance
Devotees believe that observing this Vrat with devotion removes all obstacles from one's life and brings success, prosperity, and wisdom. When Sankashti Chaturthi falls on a Tuesday, it is called Angaraki Chaturthi, considered especially powerful and auspicious.
