What is Satyanarayan Pooja?
Satyanarayan Pooja is one of the most popular and widely performed Hindu rituals dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his form as Satyanarayan — the God of Truth. This puja can be performed on any day, but is especially auspicious on Purnima (full moon day), Ekadashi, or on special occasions like housewarmings, weddings, and new beginnings.
Significance
The Satyanarayan Vrat Katha, found in the Skanda Purana, describes how Lord Vishnu himself narrated the significance of this Vrat to Narada Muni. The Katha consists of five chapters, each illustrating the importance of truth, devotion, and the consequences of neglecting the vow. Performing this puja with faith is believed to fulfil all desires and bring abundance.
